Cultiv8Connections

Cultiv8Connections seeks to connect with rural community leaders across North Texas to help them uncover their communities' hidden strengths and to see how those strengths can be leveraged to help solve problems connected to poverty and environmental conservation in their own regions. Our aim is to create a powerful network of rural communities poised to help each other and learn from each other.

We believe poverty in rural areas presents a unique challenge. Our poverty simulation workshops highlight the ways people fall through the cracks of rural communities, as well as how communities can use their unique strengths to empower their most vulnerable members. We do this through a board game we’ve developed in house, putting attendees in the role of people facing the struggles of rural poverty.
